Welcome to Trinity Lutheran
Trinity Lutheran School has served families in Grand Island for over a century, partnering with parents to nurture children academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally—all in the light of God’s grace.
Our Philosophy: Christian Education for the Whole Child
At Trinity, we believe that every child is a precious gift—chosen and redeemed by Christ. Our mission is to assist parents in the Christian training of their children, following the wisdom of Proverbs 22:6:
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Our educational approach is grounded in the truth of God’s Word and the power of the Gospel. We strive to minister to the whole child—heart, mind, body, and soul—through:
- Biblical Foundation:
Integrating God’s Word throughout our curriculum, we help students grow in knowledge of the Lord (Colossians 1:10) and mature in their faith. Through Bible study, prayer, and worship, every child learns of God’s love and their need for a Savior (Romans 3:23). - Academic Excellence:
We challenge students to do their best in all things—language arts, math, science, technology, and more—always to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31). Our experienced teachers use effective, engaging methods to spark curiosity and mastery in every subject. - Physical Well-Being:
Recognizing our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), we provide robust physical education, health instruction, and opportunities for Christian sportsmanship. - Creative & Fine Arts:
Through music, art, and drama, students experience and celebrate the beauty of God’s creation (Psalm 145:5, Ecclesiastes 3:11), developing both skill and a lifelong appreciation for the arts. - Social & Emotional Growth:
We encourage Christian interaction, kindness, and friendship throughout the day. Guided by the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), students develop healthy relationships and emotional well-being. - Gospel-Centered Community:
The Trinity family is a caring, supportive community where grace abounds and every child is valued. Through Christ’s Great Commission (Matthew 28:19), we seek to share God’s love in all we do.
Total Christian education at Trinity means the involvement of the whole child—a chosen and redeemed possession of Christ.
