Daily Schedule
What a Day Looks Like
Here’s the rhythm of a typical day, from morning drop-off to afternoon pick-up. Familiar routines help little ones feel safe, settled, and ready to learn.
Morning
- ArrivalClassroom doors open at 7:45, and the school day begins at 8:00 AM
- Independent TasksChildren settle in and finish their morning tasks on their own
- Play TimeUnstructured play is critical to young children’s development. Without even realizing it, they’re practicing everyday social skills.
- Classroom FamilyTogether for calendar, counting & our Bible verse
- Small GroupBible story, letters, numbers, colors & more
- Story TimeOur class comes together to bring stories to life, with active listening that helps imaginations grow
- Team PlayWe practice communication skills that grow throughout the year. Over time, our little ones build relationships with the 5th and 6th graders, who learn to lead while creating lasting friendships. The two groups even sit together at Chapel.
- Gym TimeActive recess time that gives students some much-needed exercise to get the wiggles out
- LunchFirst lunch is generally around 11:00 AM
Afternoon
- Gym TimeRecess round two! Research shows that active kids learn better in the classroom.
- ReviewThis is an opportunity to review what our day has looked like so far. The children are always eager to share what they have learned
- Quiet TimeNo matter the age, we can all use some quiet time! Early in the year, children often come home exhausted, and this time helps everyone regroup as the day winds down.
- SnackIt is no secret that we all need a healthy snack to help us get through the final push of the day
- CoplaySmall group or one-on-one time, where students practice the skills of getting to know each other and building friendships
- OutsideWe do our best to get the children outside as often as possible even during the winter months
- PrayerIt’s important to bring our day to a close just as we started the day by giving all glory to Jesus
- DismissalEvery child must be picked up from the classroom by a known adult

A Day in PreK
Learning Through Play, Faith & Discovery
Our developmentally centered approach balances child-initiated exploration with teacher-guided activities. Every day is structured to bring warmth, wonder, and growth.
Jesus Time
Each day begins with faith. Children learn to live more like Jesus through age-appropriate Bible stories, songs, and meaningful conversations about God’s love.
Large-Motor Play
Kids develop physical skills and confidence through active play in our gym and on the playground, because growing bodies need room to move!
Music Time
Singing, playing instruments, and exploring different music styles helps children develop language, coordination, and a lifelong love of music.
Story Time
We foster a deep love of reading through shared stories and discussion, building vocabulary, listening skills, and early literacy foundations.
Snack Time
More than just a break, snack time builds community. Children practice table manners, sharing, and the art of good conversation with friends.
Center Time
Learning centers invite children to explore on their own, from art and building blocks to sensory tables and free-play. Curiosity leads the way!
In-House Field Trips
Community helpers of all kinds will often visit our classroom, bringing the world to our students in a safe, familiar setting.

Enrollment Requirements
Is My Child Ready for PreK?
We want every child to start their Trinity journey set up for success. Here’s what families need to know before enrolling.
Age Requirements
- Child must be 3 or 4 years old by July 31st of the enrolling year
- 3-year-olds enroll in our Preschool program
- 4-year-olds enroll in Pre-Kindergarten
- Contact us if you have questions about your child’s eligibility
School Year Details
- Classes begin in late August each year
- All classes are completed by the end of May
- Child must be fully toilet trained prior to enrollment
- Open to families of all faith backgrounds. All are welcome!
